Renée Kato is a New Jersey writer, mother, advocate, and transracial adoptee whose work explores adoption, identity, race, belonging, and healing. Rooted in a lifelong commitment to service, lifelong learning, community, and connection, Renée is passionate about adoption awareness, disability advocacy, and helping others navigate the complexities of chronic illness with knowledge, compassion, and hope. Her writing reflects the many experiences that have shaped her: as a transracial adoptee, a caregiver, an advocate, and a woman learning to navigate life in an unpredictable body with grace and humor.
